5 March 2021 My first thoughts as I started reading Sheryl Sandberg's Lean In were of irritation about the assumptions she made early on about men. But I kept reading anyway. What she was saying about women sure explained some things and I knew that I was not the intended audience. Actually years ago I recommeneded Alora & Brittan to read it even though I hadn't. Because I expected it to be good. Now, having read it, I can safely say Sandberg does not disappoint. She squarely tackles male-female gender issues in the workplace and provides women with a clear set of actions to take to overcome those issues. Life happens. While Sandberg's personal experience at the apex of the corporate world can be somewhat out of touch with that of the average person, she provides a worthly ideal to strive for. ![]() |
