Visited the 500 year running Herbstmesse this afternoon. It was like many a festival this time of year, with crafts and food and Glühwein. The warm weather and Glühwein reminded me of Fredericksburg, Texas where we stopped 15 years ago on the way from Georgia to Nevada and I tasted the stuph for the first time. I liked it so much I bought several bottles to share with everyone during Christmas at Dell's. No one else was as taken with the warmed wine beverage as I was though. For the evening we left Basel to attend a concert of Mozart and others in the Liestal Stadtkirche. It's always fun to feel like the youngest person in the room, and the concert was excellent.
