This morning I said goodbye to dad and mom drove me to get my Covid booster, because apparently visting home means getting medical care these days. At least it was free. Hopefully this third shot will allow me to travel next summer, assuming they continue to be good for one year. The panademic theater is worse than the security theater at the airport. After the shot and breakfast with mom she dropped me off at the airport. United was the first leg. Wow, they are still just a terrible airline. They require you to download an app to purchase things on the plane that doesn't work. One of these days I'm going to learn not to book flights with them. Coming from Switzerland it just made the most sense though, because they're affiliated with Swiss Air. Maybe I'm just sour on air travel though. I should try harder not to let the negative emotions from things happening in my own life bleed over into my assessment of other people trying to do their job.
