This past weekend in Italy I finished reading another Ryan Holiday book: Courage Is Calling. It's okay as a devotional style book I guess, but however much I like him his quality is dropping and he repeats himself a lot. A LOT. If you try to sit down and read it for a while you'll find yourself reading the same sentences over again on different pages. And him repeatedly saying businesses that closed for the covid rather than staying open were "courageous" rather than kowtowing to government pressure is absurd. And the lauding of Lincoln is disgusting. But maybe I enjoyed it?
