It is a beautiful European city with a rich long history that we will explore while we're here. Last night we enjoyed a Chopin concert followed by a mead tasting and dessert at a restuarant that opened on the town square, or Rynek, in 1364. This morning Paula and I started off with a 5 kilometer run around the greenbelt encircling the old city. This included the castle on the Wisła, where sadly no dogs were allowed. We did, however, get to see the fire-breathing dragon. Easter Monday is a holiday in Poland as it is in much of Europe, so the city is not abustle as I imagine it is on a normal Monday. ![]() |
