Under the Black FlagLast Blog | Index | Next Blog Fifty | Ninety | Twenty-Five | US Pics | Vesuvio 21 November 2022 - Alpharetta David Cordingly's Under the Black Flag is a book about pirates in the centuries gone by. It looked at the history especially from a British perspective pre Pax Brittanica and then at the portrayal of pirates in books and in cinema. Written in the mid-1990's there wasn't too much about the modern resurgence of piracy or the monsterously stupid "Pirates of the Carribean" movies. Overall it was an enjoyable read, but not one I'd really recommend. ![]() |
