Stein am Rhein26 June 2023 Yesterday I went swimming in the Rhine River for the first time. Like all Swiss rivers, it's incredibly clear and clean. The current is not to strong, so it's a lazy float down and walk back. In the town of Stein am Rhein there's a public beach area in a bend where the current slows down to nil. Of course they have a pub and a diving platform. Most of the north bank of the Rhine is in Deutschland, but this town is part of the Swiss canton of Schaffhausen. The midieval town center is also not to be missed. |
