19 February 2025 - Zürich

This past weekend Iwona and I went to see "The Book of Mormon". It's the first play I've been to in a long and one that's long been on my list to see. Written by Trey Parker and Matt Stone (who also created South Park), it's as hilarious as you'd expect with catchy musical numbers. Iwona enjoyed the music, but came away offended on behalf of the Mormon's for the way the play mocks their religion. And then outside the theater there were real Mormons dressed just like in the play. Her jaw dropped as said, "are those real ones?" So I struck up a conversation with one and Iwona got to have the real life Mormon missionary experience as he walked with us to the train station trying to hook me with a connection. Afterward she did a complete 180 and declared "they really are ridiculous!" The experience after the play was almost as funny as the play itself.
