M. R. Carey's second book in the Pandominion duology, Echo of Worlds is a perfect sequal to the first. Infinity Gate ends in a cliffhanger and Echo of Worlds picks right up where Carey left us and speeds through the story at a similarly fast pace. The scifi remains the backdrop to the character-driven story. And fortunately this book has resolution rather than a cliffhanger. I highly recommend reading it!
