This morning I finished reading Diccon Bewes Swiss Watching, an entertaining look at the country from the perspective of a curious expat. Bewes is British though, so some of his comparisons to home are unfamiliar to me whereas "Betty Bossi" is so obviously copied from the "Betty Crocker" we Americans grow up with I can't believe he missed it. But on fondue, on trains, on government, on chocolate, on Shirley Temple as Heidi, etc. I felt in Bewes a kindred spirit observing his adopted country.
