This weekend I had no plans for the first time in a while. Friday night I was out late watching the USA vs. Australia World Cup game with fellow GA Tech alumni. So Saturday I slept in and puttered around the house. I did go out to swim in the lake of course, but that was about it. Today I went wandering. I headed up into the forest above Küsnacht and just took paths I'd never been on before for a few hours. The forest has berries for most of the Summer, and right now it's the wild strawberries. While munching on some today I encountered the non-native false strawberry. Fortunately also edible, but rather bland and confusing after stuffing my face with the sweet, delicious real strawberries. Eventually I ended up on the Tobelweg, and stopped in Kittenmühle for a beer before heading home. Yesterday I got some skewered mini-sausages to grill by the lake tonight, so my evening was fire, reading, and swimming. Now it's 9 o'clock and the sun still isn't close to setting.
