Aumont-Aubrac - Nasbinals

Lozère, France

Trails Index | Via Podiensis

Leaving Aumont-Aubrac, one finds themselves in Cowfields, scrublands, and pine forests. At Peyre-en-Aubrac there is a roadside bar. As the road ascends into heathlands over 1200 meters there are few trees to block to wind. The small granite stone huts dotting the countryside are called buron and traditionally used for making cheese. Nasbinals is a town big enough to have stores and restaurants.
