Rolle has a nice castle on the water. Heading east from there one passes into the forest along the lakeshore before heading up into the vineyards. Crossing the Gilliere and Dullive creeks one is high above Lac Léman and it continues that to Gland before heading back down to the lakeshore. It's then up again to the Château de Prangins where one finds a museum of Swiss cultural history. Nyon which follows is another Roman city and they have an ampitheater (under restoration) and a museum. There is, of course, also a château. From Nyon station the trail goes up and into the forest.
