The Via Jacobi is part of the Camino de Santiago which ends at Santiago de Compstella in Spain. In Switzerland it begins in Schaffhausen north of the Rhine, or on the Bodensee at Konstanz or Rorschach. The trail is marked as number 4 except for the alternate route from Schaffhausen to Rapperswil. There are a couple branchings at the Zürichsee, then at the ferry across the Vierwaldstädtersee and also just after Fribourg.
