The Via Jacobi is part of the Camino de Santiago which ends at
Santiago de Compstella in Spain. In Switzerland it begins in
Schaffhausen north of the Rhine, or on the Bodensee at Konstanz
or Rorschach. The trail is marked as
number 4 except for the alternate route from Schaffhausen to
Rapperswil where it is unnumbered and from the Austrian border to
St. Peterzell where it's number 44. There are a couple branchings at
the Zürichsee, then
at the ferry across the Vierwaldstädtersee and also just after
Fribourg.
From Genève the Via Gebennensis
continues on into France.
Herefollows the alternate segments. The choice of which is
"alternate" is enitrely mine.
