Etzel is located near St. Meinrad above the Zürichsee, with views of the Sihlsee, the Greifensee, and the Pfäffikersee. At the top there is a restaurant with views in both directions. On the approaching slopes there are WWII era antitank defenses, including a bunker inside the mountain that has been turned into a museum.
