The game of politics should be unimportant in our lives. Last night there was an election in America. One set of millionaires beholden to special interests will win out over another set of millionaires beholden to special interests. Why should I care? Whichever side triumphs freedoms will be eroded by more restrictive laws, taxes will be stolen and the US dollar inflated, wars will be started or continued, and on and on. Cui bono? The special interests and the ever growing government bureaucracy. In Northern Virginia they'll be happy with either result as more wealth is siphoned their way.
