1 June 2024 - Adetswil Last year when I ran the race in Delémont I stopped at a little free library and picked up another book by Thich Nhat Hanh. Ce Monde Est Tout Ce Que Nous Avons was a French translation, so I figured it would be a good way to practice my French. Having passed the Deutsch B2 Goethe Institut test last month I have aspirations to take the DELF for français, where I think I'm about A2. Since most French vocabulary overlaps with English I can read just about anything, but speaking and writing I'm not so good. Hanh's book was on Buddhism - a topic I know well - as applied to environmentalism. As such it was mainly about denying oneself modern conveniences, casting environmentalism as the religion it truly is. ![]() |
