13 August 2024 - Zürich Hot evenings find me on the lakeshore, lately in Zollikon. It was there last night that I finished reading Claire Keegan's collection of short stories, Antarctica. I picked it up from the little free library in Basel's Hauptbahnhof last week and enjoyed the tales of regular peoples lives. Keegan's stories are of sex and death and childhood. Nothing fanciful, just regular stuph. Somehow that was refreshing, like a dip in the lake on a hot evening before the thunderstorms roll in. ![]() |
