Two Octobers ago I walked around Lake Bled and stopped in the castle where I picked up Noah Charney's Slovenology. It stayed in my tsundoku pile until last week when I decided that, after reading about Postojna cave, I wanted to reminisce more about Slovenia. And Charney's book turned out to be the perfect vehicle for that. It is both lighthearted and witty while covering not only the important sites of Slovenia, but also the ones which interest him personally (and possibly no one else). I really look forward to going back there!
