The past six months have seen me doing a piecewise circumnavigation of the Zürichsee. Today the dogs and I walked from Altendorf, where we left off at the beginning of the month, to Schloss Grynau, where the number 84 trail joins the number 4 trail which we've walked previously. It was a sunny, snowy, beautiful hike alone the lakeshore through Lachen, past a small airport, and then up and along the Buechberg. On the train home afterward we sat next to a grandmother and grandson. He was excited about the dogs and hoping to get one for himself, so we talked a good bit about them. And the grandmother lamented that she has never walked the Zürichsee Rundweg. Perhaps we've insipered her to try!
