After many years of neglect TheWineRater.com is going away. Well, not completely. I'm moving it to the science section of this website under oenology. Most of the pages were created from a PERL script reading from a spreadsheet because 20 years ago that was what I knew how to do. Somewhere along the way the file format got farked for many of these files, so modifying them without breaking them is something of a nightmare. Not that I've recorded tasting notes here in years. I think I did it pretty religiously for only a decade. I'm not even sure where the PERL script is today, although one can still find the HTML for the website here. Letting things go is sometimes hard, but as Eknath Easwaran said, "renounce and enjoy".
