30 May 2026 - Luthern Bad

Today I did a long hike. Since I'm single I just got up and went. No waiting to make coffee and then present my plan. I was on the train before 7 after breakfast and a shower. Not having a plan though means I don't know when to stop. From Malters I blew through Werthenstein, Wolhusen, and Napf. I ate in Napf. But there's no train station. So I continued down the #3 trail. Unable to bail myself out I asked a woman how to get back to Zürich. She sent me down to Luthernbad. 37 kilometers and I would have probably just kept going and slept in the forest if not for her. Thank you random woman! Yes, it will be a pain to pick back up where I left off. But that wasn't the point of today, was it. And what is wrong with me that I can't stop without permission?
