I've had a busy month and not managed as much time for reading as I do in the Winter. In Ireland last month I picked up 100 Poems of Seamus Heaney. He's a poet I've been meaning to delve into for a long time and did not disappoint. This particular collection was organized posthumously by one of his offspring to cover all the various periods of his life. He has a generally hopeful outlook on life and much to say about Ireland. Reading verses about the places I'd so recently been to took me back to the Boyne. And some of the poems touched something deeper in the way that Robert Frost does.
