Riding on the train this morning I can't help but reflect on how much I enjoy train travel. The precision and pünktlichkeit appeals to my Germanic mind I suppose. Train tables are like spreadsheets and the map spreading out across Europe connects everything. There's no security and lines and waiting like there is in airports. Just off one train and onto another. And even in 2nd class there's plenty of legroom and a table to work on my laptop.
