The Social Instinct: How Cooperation Shaped the WorldLast Blog | Index | Next Blog Croatia Pics | Fifty | Garden | Ninety | Twenty-Five 23 July 2022 - Crikvenica Last night in the hotel room I finished reading Nichola Raihani's The Social Instinct: How Cooperation Shaped the World, which traced familiar ground laced with her own personal experiences. In particular she's studied birds' and fish's interactions. The first part of the book rehashed what Dawkins wrote about the Selfish Gene but not as well as he wrote. And it ended in sociology which always seems to end up advocating socialism. Not surprising from a government funded scientist I suppose. ![]() |
