Stopped today to see this multicultural city. Parked by a giant synagogue, sadly closed to the publics on Saturdays. In the old city there where Serbian Orthodox, Greek Orthodox and, of course, Catholic churches. I walked up the hill of San Giusto and saw the medieval church with its mosaics and the Austrian castle. It was an Austrian city from the 14th through the 20th century after all. Amongst this on the hill were the remains of a Roman arch and forum. And a panoramic view of the city. All in 40 degree heat.
