This past weekend I headed back into Appenzell, this time to the Inner- rather than Ausserrhoden. Saturday Iwona joined me with the dogs and we hiked from Wasserauen up to the Seealpsee where we swam and lunched in the sunshine and heat. Then I spent the night to run the Berglauf Brülisau - Hoher Kasten.
After sweating in the heat Saturday, Sunday was cold and rainy. And I was ill-prepared for the weather, wearing just a t-shirt, shorts and a cap. The rain was sideways and nearly freezing by the time we reached the peak. Rather than stunning views we inside a cloud - even less visibility than last weekend! Still, it was a fun race.
